It has been a while since a project has resonated with me as much as Bellah’s latest EP,
'Adultsville'. One of the most exciting voices in UK R&B, Bellah is exploring the peaks and
valleys of entering adulthood as a young woman.
“Just got evicted from my youth didn’t even get a notice”; there couldn’t have been a better
opening line. The title track, ‘Adultsville’, almost sounds like a quick how-to guide for staying
composed upon entering this chaotic phase of one’s life and sets the scene perfectly for the
journey the record is about to take us.
From past lovers thinking you’ve changed just because you’ve leveled up (‘Prototype’), to
keeping yourself accountable throughout the drama and questionable decisions (‘In The
Moment’), Bellah’s silky vocals serve as a reminder that everything’s actually going to be
okay. We are also treated to an extended version of fan favourite “Evil Eye”, whose viral
COLORS performance currently stands at over 1M views.
Working with an all-star team of collaborators, including executive producer Ari PenSmith,
Adultsville feels like a defining project in Bellah’s career, that is truly taking off–and I truly
can’t wait to see what happens next for this superstar on the rise!
